Vox’s FUP

Beware of Vox’s FTTH Fair User Policies (FUP) on their uncapped fatpipe packages, specifically on an Openserve fiber backbone. They don’t advise or warn you and hide the details in the T&Cs (small print). You think you’re getting hi speed uncapped internet, which is great, until you reach your first ceiling, only to find that your speed is halved. The ceilings are also very low so it doesn’t take long to reach these. Uncapped hi speed fat pipe should mean just that... uncapped, hi speed internet, and if you apply FUP, tell people up front so you can make the choice before signing up. When you do complain, they will tell you it’s Openserve’s policy, but my point is, notify the customers before they sign up. I’m not bound by a contract but they’ll charge me the connection fee, which is a couple of K, if I cancel within a 12 month period. This is such a bad policy on their part because besides the really bad FUP they apply, their overall service is good.

Been there already... and there lies another problem. Instead of offering an alternate solution, I just got the you should have read the T&Cs speech.
