Vox Telecom - Terrible connection and shocking experience
On 16 July 2020 I app**** for a Vox Telecom’s “BDL-FTTHPROMO-MFN-10/10-UC” product. The product included a 10/10 Mbps MFN Fibre Line, Uncapped Fat Pipe Data and a Wi-Fi Router. At or around the end of July 2020, a fibre line was installed during my absence at my property. On my return I noted that the installation was not done our agreed instructions and immediately contacted Vox representative and highlighted that the shady installation (where the conduit fibre pipe line was mounted on a damaged wall, which belong to my neighbour and with huge cracks that are clearly visible and evident that the wall may fall-off). The faulty installation was done despite clear and agreed instructions to put the fibre pipe line trenches and path way was also indicated because we also have an existing plan for the extension of my house. Since 04 August 2020 I've been asking for the resolution of an installation matter I've raised with a number of Vox representatives. However, to date I've been sent from pillar to post. Initially I was promised that the matter will be resolved and apparently ticket logging confirmation was issued to rectify the installation issue. Whilst still awaiting the installation team to come and resolve the matter (as promised) and despite the Wi-Fi Router not yet supp**** and installed/activated, I subsequently received invoices and statements of account, including notification of debit orders to be run in my nominated bank account. I've since raised my objection to being invoiced while Vox has not yet satisfied its performance obligation with this new contract. Despite my follow-up calls, emails and physical visits to their Waverly (Johannesburg) office, I've made to hold for lines that ended on voicemails with not one returning my calls or talk to junior employees who refused to share contact details of their seniors or allow me direct interaction with the more senior officials. On 29 January 2021, I lodged a complaint via the email ***, and requested that Vox to investigate this matter, stop invoicing my allocated account since it has not yet transferred the promised good/service ((fibre data) and to reverse all invoices and interest charged against my allocated account. However, I’ve not received even an acknowledgement of my complaint. Instead, I’ve been receiving “noreply” emails (including a “successfully completed” installation email dated 1 March 2021, a service and an account cancellation emails dated 2 March 2021, etc.). I am really shocked and dismayed by what I've experienced and the treatment I've received thus far for simply pointing out poor quality and shady work and request fair treatment.
