Vox Telecom refuses to effectively release my line so that I can contract with another ISP!

After spending close to 3 years with Vox Telecom, that's close to giving them over R32,000 in monthly payments, I realised that what's worse than being in a relationship with them, is trying to GET OUT OF the relationship with them!

I submitted a request to cancel the services in Mid Feb. The service was cancelled end of March. Mind you, during that time no-one, with a mandate for customer retention or customer satisfaction even called me to ask what was wrong and how they could improve or keep me as a customer.

Now, by 3 April, I requested Vox to release my line so that my new ISP could request Vumatel to activate the service. Since then I have been trying to get confirmation about whether my line is in fact released. Clearly it is not because each time my new ISP trying to schedule the activation with Vuma, they are told by Vuma "this line is being managed by a current ISP".

I have spent countless hours and loads upon loads of airtime calling (of course so many times I'm on hold for half hour and then get cut off!), emailing, whatsApping Vox. I have called all departments - regular customer service, technical, Project Management Office (PMO) who I was told was responsible to line releasing only to be told by a PMO office "No, we just manage the fibre orders!" Was also sent to Sales Retrenchment. No joy anywhere. I have countless emails about "ticket received" and "ticket resolved" from the email services. No-one gets back to me and when they do and I tell them the line has clearly not been released, I just get transferred down the line.

No-one knows who is actually responsible for releasing the line. Apparently the staff just sends an email to a particular email address. These people are not in contact with the call centre and you cannot reach them. That's the problem, it's so ironic that this business is about communication and you can't communicate with the people that seemingly have the answers you need.

I am absolutely desperate to get my line released from Vox. I cannot move on from them. My new ISP cannot connect me. Vuma keeps saying the line is still being managed and I the poor customer, the user, the one who has to shell out the money every month, is not listened to, not considered and is thrust from pillar to post.

They show me in all way that they can give a flying $%&#. Every month they got my R899 without question. And now? They could give a @#$%&.

Look, I think many ISPs are full of **** and it may be 6 of one and half a dozen of the other, but Vox, from my experience has been the absolute worst!.

CAN VOX BE RELEASE MY LINE!!
