VOX Telecom | *** PATHETIC ***

My complex has been without fibre internet access for the past 4 days.

VOX has not alerted anyone.

My regular phone calls are fruitless. All I am told is that the problem has been escalated to their external vendor - VODACOM - and there has been additional updates.

VOX is far being being a leading telecoms provider. They are clueless about their own infrastructure!

Dear Vox-

That's the stock-stand reply I've been getting from your team for 4 days.

 Good day, Ajith S,

Thank you for your patience whilst this matter was being investigated.
Kindly note that we have received confirmation that the connectivity issues were resolved after the Network Provider , Vodacom restored the link.

Fibre and Telecommunications Products are best effort Broadband Services, which does not provide full reliability on all additional services.

There is no Service Level Agreement between Vox and the customer with regards to resolution timeframes of downtime and provision of strength on different PlayStation/Gaming/Internet TV connections or any other services making use of the Broadband Services.
There is also no agreement which guarantees 100% uptime or a credit for downtime, should there be any.

Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us on *** or email, ***

 Kind Regards,
 Vox

I lost all patience with VOX!

Like I said in my email, had it not been for my effort as well as for that of the Estate Manager, Vodacom would not have sent out a technician to attend to the problem.

VOX did nothing - there was no best effort on the part of VOX!

I am sure that VOX has an SLA agreement with Vodacom and there will in all likelihood be a penalty clause. I am in the IT industry; it would be foolish for such an SLA not to be in place. Now that penalty, should that not be passed over to the affected customers? After all, the fault was mentioned that a technician removed a cable from a previous job.

I lost 7 days of internet access. I had to seek connectivity from another ISP. I am asking for one quarter of my subscription, or R200, to be re-imbursed and I note that you choose not to. My contract comes up for renewal in February. Think carefully - do you want to lose R 200 or a customer permanently?
