Vox Telecom, mercenary, predatory, rapacious bunch.

A quotation for a fibre installation was received from from Vox Telecom. The quotation was accepted. A decision was made to move premises, so the order was cancelled prior to installation. Vox is relentlessly pursuing me for payment despite not providing any goods or services whatsoever. After countless emails back and fourth, Vox insists that they have a legally binding order and are demanding payment. Be aware that if you accept a quotation from Vox, you will be held liable for payment, even if no documents have been provided or signed. They do not accept cancellation of an order.

Good day Les

We have done a thorough investigation into your complaint and the following concludes:

The Fiber services were signed up for on 11 September 2017 via E-Acceptance whereby we received confirmation of the Acceptance of the Vox Telecom Terms and Conditions.

We received handover of your fibre line from the Upstream Service Provider on 17 October 2017, where after we attempted to contact you on several occasions to arrange for the final installation of services. Unfortunately we were not able to get a hold of you.

On 07 November 2017 our Installations Department received your request to cancel the fibre services with Vox.

The Sales Agent was in contact with you and confirmed that you will still remain liable for costs incurred due to supplier handover being received before your request for cancellation was received.

As per our General Terms and Conditions Sub-clause 3.6; and FTTH Terms and Conditions Sub-clause 12, the following applies:

“ should the ISP have incurred any fees at the time of Supplier handover and after the contract acceptance cooldown period, the ISP can subsequently keep the customer liable for said fees and their relevant terms / conditions fees.”

Based on the above outcome of the complaint investigation, you will remain liable for the costs billed to your account.

Please feel free to contact our Debtors Department should you have any further queries.

Kind Regards.
