Vox Telecom Is A Horrible Company. Use Afrihost!

Vox Telecom is a very horrible company with a terrible service.

On the first week of December 2023 I made a wifi/pure fibre application. It took them almost 2 weeks to schedule an installation DATE That’s gonna be in another week’s time after waiting for the installation DATE…The day of the installation arrived and Vuma(the fibre company) did their part on the scheduled date. Then we had to wait for Vox to deliver our router. I called Vox Telecom several times regarding our router that they said was out for delivery on the day the Vuma team came to do the installation. I called the delivery company that Vox Telecom used to deliver our router and the driver was no where to be found, the delivery company that Vox used could not get hold of their driver. On day 3 after the installation I finally decided to cancel Vox Telecom after calling them and their delivery company several times, I’d even hold until my airtime runs out. The driver finally called after 4-5 days after Vuma came to install and I told him no one is home and we’ve cancelled our application from Vox.

So we were without Wi-Fi for the whole month of December and the cancellation could only be official at the end of January. At the beginning of January I received a call from Vox Telecom to inform me that the cancellation have been accepted and I can expect the Vox Telecom to disconnect their line from the Vuma fibre line. It’s the 20th of February today and the line is still not removed. So we are unable to use another service provider like Afrihost because Vox Telecom is still connected on our fibre line ,and again I’ve called them several times to ask them to disconnect it and all they do is tell me that it will be disconnected.

Data is very expensive and we are a family that works from home. I don’t have data as we speak, I’m in public for Wi-Fi because my work uses too much data.

I’ve had enough of this damn company.This company is HORRIBLE! Don’t use Vox, use Afrihost.
