VOX Telecom doesnt care about quality of install

I was having issues at home with WIFI coverage to all parts of my home. Since my FTH is supp**** by Vox I logged onto their website and spoke to a live agent about a WIFI mesh solution. I had 2 criteria that I wanted met. Cables should be tidy and I needed 3 access points to my smart tv, wifes pc and sons pc. A technician came out to do an inspection and quote. Solution proposed is 3 Deco devices which will give coverage. Quote is for 3 devices and an install of about R 500. I get pressured to accept quote which I do. The install gets done. When I get home I check. In my original request for the service which was done on the chat line I asked for and I have the chat log as proof.

That the wires are tidied up Instead there is now a whole lot more wires visible and instead of the Deco devices been wireless they seems to need to be cabled. The technician moved a router from the back of a desk where it was out of sight no wires apparent to a place on top of a kist where the wires are now apparent.

3 hard access points and again i have the log I asked that at 3 points, the longue tv (with DSTV), my wife pc, and my sons pc there are access points, lan cable connections. There are none, the box for the Deco devices talks about fly leads but these seem to have been taken by the technician.I ask for clarity, can you from the Deco device take a fly lead to a PC, a TV a DSTV decoder etc. Without this facility the whole exercise is a futile exercise, and I was misinformed on the chat.

General Points Cable Diagram The technician has moved cables around plugging and unplugging cables as he sees fit. I no have no clue what goes where. I would have expected him to label fly leads when unplugging stuff as I had drawn up a diagram previously of what went where. I can now throw that away as I have no clue, what goes where, as I expected the cables to be reduced.

Speed of DSTV wireless connection. Previously the DSTV connected to the WIFI network at speeds of about 40 meg a second. Now the DSTV receivers are next to a Deco device and the best I can get is between 2 to 14 megs a second. How do I buy a device and pay about R1000 rand for it for speeds to go backwards. This cannot be. Part of the problem is there are now about 6 different networks available from old routers and the new Deco devices. If Deco provides a WIFI wall should there not be at minimium about 3 networks one for each device?

LAN Connection to TV I previously had a lan connection to the tv for streaming. The technician has now removed this. However as per above the speed of the Deco device adjacent to the tv is not good. Now when viewing Netflix etc we get buffering. How do I pay about R4000 in total to now have to contend with buffering when streaming?

Smart Phone The base station for the Smart Phone was next to the tv plugged into the router. Your technician moved the router and the base station. Where he moved it too it wasn't even plugged in to power and not plugged into a router. How can he call the job complete without the smart phone working. i raise these issues in a mail to 3 seperate persons at VOX, Philip Kemp , Nigel Mumba and a helpdesk e-mail.

No communication aside from a logged call reference number.

Im mindful that in terms of CPA I have a right to cancel an order or a contract within 7 days. Based on that I write a mail after 5 days requestion they cancel the install. I have to protect myself in terms of CPA. In spite of the above I have yet to get a response never mind any service out of Vox about this install. It seems the happy I cancel. I guess they dont need the business. Perhaps I should just cancel my FTH with them and start afresh with another service provider.
