Vox Service and Pricing
So it's that time again, shopping around looking at all my services and if I get my monies worth. Damn, but there is a bunch of sharks in South-Africa!! Anyway, got to my fiber service, and as I browsed/shopped around saw that Vox has a much cheaper package available. I JUMPED on the online customer service online helpline and fired an "I want to cancel, this here is much cheaper" message. The online helper (Peter) was helpful in guiding me to their bundles availble. The fiber is a Vuma(fail) installation, which already adds a premium to the pricing. Mmm, but still for R100 more I can go from a 20Mps to a 100Mps with another ISP like Cybersmart. And that is not even the cheapest! If it wasn't for the high activation fee and that they, according to this forum, do not have a very good reputation, I would've switched without delay. Vox is not the cheapest but neither the most expensive, and their service is dependant on Vumatel who it seems is busy failing, well, in my area at least. Thanks to Vox for the great service and attack those prices, please!?! Just for comparison, USA $49 up to $85 - 100Mps, including cable TV and VOIP. OK, they don't have to work as 2nd or 3rd party services.
