Up until today Vox would have received 10 stars. I was actually impressed with their customer service over the last 2 years.
I have canceled my ADSL on 15 September 2021.
Fibre was installed and activated on abovementioned date.
I received a bill for October and have been informed that I now have to pay for both services, even though I have canceled.
Honestly, who exactly can afford to pay pro-rata for services that was canceled? I can't!!! On top of that I can't cancel the Telkom landline until Vox releases the line and is therefore liable for another month of paying for the service that I no longer need.
I pay R770 for ADSL with Vox, R220 with Telkom for landline. My bill with Vox this month now includes my Fibre, R339 for 2 weeks pro-rata (because ONLY they are allowed) to do things in the middle of the month. And R599 for October's Fibre. A whopping R1707.54.
I have never skipped a payment and normally EFT more than the required amount. Yet I am now penalized for moving to another service within your company.
This is really not acceptable.
How is it possible, to just suspend services at any time, but it takes 30 days to cancel? 🤯 They can help via a phone, reset your modem in real time but holds you hostage when you cancel.
This has become the new norm for Vox and Telkom to just blatantly ****** money from their clients.
Disgusting business practices that Vox AKA Telkom has been getting away for years.
I gladly paid for the services every month, no problem. I willingly gave you my money over 2 years. WHY do you insist on *****ing from your own customers?!?
