VOX is BAD
Their installation teams are a disaster. 1) It took them 3 attempts just to get the right length of cable; 2) Every time a new team came to do the job and the last team hadn't briefed them; 3) The last team that came the one guy drove off with the box & drills and left the other stranded for ages - wasting my time too; 4) They just bulldozed me on when the installations would happen - didn't take me into account at all. 5) They installed the cable so that about 60m of it is totally exposed to the weather and sun - no piping. 6) Finally after the installation I want to set a password on my modem but can't because something is wrong. I'm supposed to see an option for MicroTik not MicroTik_12345, but their Help Desk (ha ha!) never responds other than to close my tickets unilaterally before they've even addressed the issue. Now they're just ignoring my follow ups.
Thank you for your review.
The installation is done by the Network Provider Vumatel ,Kindly note that the details of your query has been sent to the Vox Support team to investigate and assist.
A Self help install guide was provided for assistance with the router install.
1) Confirm that the LAN cable is plugged into Ge/LAN 1 of your fibre box.
2) The other end of the LAN cable must be plugged into the Internet PoE In port at the back of the Vox Mikrotik Router.
3) Look for the Available WiFi networks on your WiFi, You MUST see only "Mikrotik", if no name appears or it shows "Mikrotik-(Random Letters)" Please contact technical support.
4) Disable your Mobile data or any external internet connections and connect to the "Mikrotik" WiFi.
5) Go to the link supp**** above and follow the prompts.
6) Enjoy your newly installed Vox WiFi!
If you get any errors during the installation please reboot the router and open a fresh instance of the web page.
Note that most installations using PPPoE connections will say no internet access during the install while on the Mikrotik WiFi, This is FINE!
Proceed to the link and it will take you to a customer login screen.
I hope this guide has been helpful.
We will provide feedback to you soonest.
Kind Regards,
Vox
