Vox Incorrect billing me for 8 months.
After being with Vox for a year on the 20/20 Mbps package, I received a notification from them on February 15th stating that "Metrofibre Network, our upstream provider and the owner of the fibre infrastructure in your area, will implement price adjustments effective March 1, 2024." Vox further indicated that the 20/20 Mbps package would be upgraded to 25/25 Mbps, with the price increasing from R499 to R535.
However, after 8 months, I tested my Wi-Fi speed and discovered it was still at 20/20 Mbps, which I initially assumed to be a technical issue. Upon contacting Vox to correct it to the 25/25 Mbps package, I was informed that Metrofibre, as the infrastructure owner, does not offer a 25/25 Mbps package.
Vox now needs to clarify why they implemented a price increase without delivering the promised speed upgrade. Moreover, they have refused to adjust my invoice so that I can pay for the 20/20 Mbps package I am still using. They also decline to address the overcharges for the past 8 months, insisting that I must continue paying R535 for a 25/25 Mbps service that they do not even provide.
This is a daily *******, people but test their WIFI speed with the free apps out there to check if they are on the correct WIFI speed they are paying for and stay away from Vox, they client support services is very disorganized and poor.
