Vox employee **** to me and Vox is doing nothing to fix things.

My experience with Vox has been awful. I set up an account via whatsapp with a direct employee, everything was fine until a short bit later I was forced to relocate. After speaking to that same employee, I was told I could switch location without penalty, however as the new location did not have fiber I had to switch the type of service provided, which was fine. I was then informed I couldn't switch over using my same card for some reason, but I was naive and didn't question it, so we switched over to a new account and card which belongs to my significant other.

Fast forward a short while later after the move, I start receiving SMSs from vox demanding around R4200 as a cancellation fee, to be clear, this is what we spoke to the employee about and were assured we would not be issued this ridiculous penalty as we did not cancel, we moved and are still paying these people, and have been for over a year. All the while they demand a cancellation fee.

I called their awful customer service line more times than I can remember, which they now seem to be denying which is whatever I suppose. It took me contacting a completely different contact I had who was much more helpful, because he doesn't even directly work for them, he works for a sister company. It is absolutely pathetic that someone who doesn't even work for this company provided more help than its own customer service, Vox should be embarrassed.

After all his efforts, Vox seems to continue to disregard that their own employee provided false information which has now ruined my credit score and they refuse to fix anything.

Do not pay these people. As seems to be a common theme in reviews on this site, you will regret it.

Good day, Jett

Thank you for your review.

Please note that the details of your complaint has been sent to the Customer Service team to assist

As per the Subscriber Agreement, Vox waivers the Set Up and Configuration/ Installation Fees upon signup on the condition that the Service remains active for a minimum period of 12 months.

The element of the Service that is comprised of the provision of the Circuit is provided to the specific address set out in the Subscriber Agreement with a Circuit leased by Vox from a network operator. Accordingly, the provision of the Circuit is not transferrable to another premises.

Notwithstanding that the cancellation is necessitated by relocation, Vox needs to recover such costs associated with such cancellation.

We will provide feedback to you soonest.

Kind Regards,
Vox

I am well aware of the information you are regurgitating for the 100th time. My point is that I asked about the fee and was assured I would not have to pay it, otherwise we would not have done it the way we had. So your employee, **** to me directly, that makes this your problem, so fix it.
