VOX

We took out a contract with VOX providing us with an internet service. They came to my premises to install their equipment. We had the contract now for 2 years with them. We have decided to end our contract with them and informed them of our decision.

They then sent me an email, acknowledging receipt of my cancellation request. In this email, they requested us to deliver their equipment to Postnet. As per the contract, they send personel to install the equipment as well as to collect the equipment from my premises. See the clause below.

"14.1 - After Termination of the contract - Vox may on notice and in the Customer’s presence, enter the customer’s premises to remove the Managed Service Equipment which is owned by Vox.”

I told them that if I have to deliver it to Postnet, who will pay my costs for my time and fuel. They then in turn rep****, that if I don’t deliver the equipment to Postnet, they will bill me for R1999.

I think this is unacceptable. They installed the equipment and the contract stipulates, they will collect the equipment. I have never had a company request me to deliver their equipment to them. (They are not keeping to their contract that stipulates that they will collect their equipment).

Nowhere in the contract it stipulated that I need to deliver their equipment after ending their services. They are threatening to bill me to pay there equipment that they should be collecting acording to the contract in clause 14.1.

I feel I have paid for their services, therefor they need to collect their equipment from me. Or pay me for my delivery services I will be providing to them.

So please be aware of VOX and their demands.
