STAY AWAY FROM VOX

I requested a 50MB line in Boksburg north, but the partner I was living with was becoming a danger to my person and had to leave. I cancelled in haste to be sure, but tried to un-cancel and they refused, still claiming I must pay the cancellation fee before I could re-apply for my new address. The old address had an existing fibre line, but they cite that they installed it, with that little black box. I am a diabetic, paying that cancellation fee is a death sentence and I tried to explain that to them, but they maintain it is still applicable regardless of circumstance. I tried my best efforts to remain a customer with them, but they would rather refuse any other recourse and ********ize me and get me blacklisted than try to accommodate me, and just shift to my new address. I was willing to remain a paying customer as I budgeted for this, but not a cancellation fee. I had to flee, a situation beyond my control.

Good day, Jean S

Thank you for your query.

As per the Subscriber Agreement, Vox waivers the Set Up and Configuration/ Installation Fees upon signup on the condition that the Service remains active for a minimum period of 12 months.

The element of the Service that is comprised of the provision of the Circuit is provided to the specific address set out in the Subscriber Agreement with a Circuit leased by Vox from a network operator. Accordingly, the provision of the Circuit is not transferrable to another premises.

Notwithstanding that the cancellation is necessitated by relocation, Vox needs to recover such costs associated with such cancellation.

We will investigate the matter and provide feedback to you soonest via our official company communication platforms as per our website.

Kind Regards,
Vox

Noted. I will now lodge a complaint against you at the ICASA. All you are doing now is ********izing a hard-working man who had no recourse but to protect himself and his child from a toxic situation. I don't know how you people sleep at night. You are refusing all my solutions outright to remain a paying customer. No wonder you people have low ratings on here and your trust ratings are mud. Good day.

Good day,  Jean S

Thank you for your patience whilst this matter was being investigated.

We have received the request to cancel the services and the cancellation request has been actioned accordingly.

Kindly note that Vox conditionally waivers the Setup/Configuration and Installation charges for the activation of the fibre services upon sign up, on the condition that the services remain active for 12 months.

Should the service be cancelled within the 12 month period, the conditionally waivered Setup/Configuration and Installation charge is billed back to the account.  Please note that the billing is not for the Vox router, but for the Setup and Configuration of the services.

Should you require any further assistance, please do not hesitate to contact us on *** or email ***

Kind Regards,
Vox
