PLEASE BE CAREFULL WHEN SIGNING ANYTHING WITH VOX

In Aug 2017 I researched quotes for Fibre to my office in Sunninghill. All providers told me it was not possible but offered a wireless satellite option. Vox Telecom said that they could do 100MG fibre and gave me a written quote that I accepted! They said it would take about 45 days for installation However, I would need a temporary satellite option of 50MB as an interim at an extra cost of about R2000 a month. I accepted this, but they could not provide it, so I desperately accepted 25MG as it was only for “45 days”. I was asked to just email back the quote with ACCEPT as subject to get the process going and copies of FICA documents as I was away and in a hurry. I was told that I need to send in certified documents for our contact to be legal. I never did this, but VOX said I did and so my e-mail was a binding contract regardless. When I asked for the copies VOX said they were lost. For the rest of 2017 I never received a correct invoice and my mails and messages were seldom rep**** to. On 15 October I met with my service manager and his senior manager and they confirmed all was in order and installation imminent. They committed to give me exact details and a correct invoice within 24 hours. After a month I finally had a reply from a senior manager after posting on Hello-Peter and complaining to the Consumer Council. The VOX director said that I would not get fibre as it was not possible in my area, BUT I must stay with their expensive contact for two years as it stated that I would have satellite until fibre was installed! If VOX had been honest in the first place I could have chosen any of the initial provers who gave me accurate and honest information. And were cheaper! What is worse is that VOX outsource their service to another provider. If I had gone direct with the actual provider I would have saved thousands in set up costs and THOUSANDS every month. How can they tie me into a contact they cannot deliver and then charge me thousands more than if I went with one of the initial honest providers? VOX are also changing me thousands in installation when the actual provider does it for free!
