PATHETIC SERVICE BY VOX TELECOM

I became a Vox-customer during October 2021. Since then everything seemingly went smoothly. I pay my account via a debt order (R599.00) every month and never skipped a payment. I am also receiving my monthly statement via email. All my statements clearly show that all payments are up to date and that there are no outstanding amounts due to Vox. On the 15th of June 2022 I received an sms from VERICRED informing me that my Vox Telecom account was handed over for collection. (Ref: ***. Balance: 387.31. CDC NO 283/03). That was the moment when all the trouble started and Vox spectacularly failed and/or refused to assist me in sorting out the problem. I wrote an email to Vox with all the relevant documentation attached thereto (including a copy of the sms). I received an automated response with reference number VOX ***6. Needless to say, the harassment by VERICRED escalated thereafter. I later phoned Vox again because they failed to provide me with any update or feedback. The accounts department confirmed that my account is up to date and that there is no outstanding amount due and payable to Vox. However, the accounts department could not sort out the problem with VERICRED. I had to contact their "debtor department" which I duly did. Needless to say, nobody answered the phone. I was eventually able to leave a voice message, but never received a callback. After a couple of days I enquired again about the progress via email. I only received the meaningless automated response. In the meantime the harassment by VERICRED continued. Follow-up emails only elicit the meaningless automated response and telephone calls to the "debtor department" went unanswered. So far nobody could tell me what the so-called "outstanding amount" is for. Vox handed my account over for collection, but according to their own records there is no outstanding amount due to them. My credit record will be negatively affected by the careless and unprofessional way in which Vox has thus far dealt with this matter. Vox simply do not care. Vox handed my account (which is clearly up to date and not in arrears) over for collection. They refuse to inform me what the mysterious outstanding amount (the particulars only Vox and VERICRED have access to) is all about. On the one hand I am being harassed by a collection agent and my credit record is destroyed whilst the particulars of the mysterious outstanding amount is being kept a secret by Vox.

All consumers: Be careful when you consider Vox as a possible service provider. The level of incompetence displayed by Vox to clarify/sort out something as simple as my account query is astonishing. Vox has willfully allowed this problem to escalate to a level where my credit record will be negatively affected and I am being subjected to the harassment of their collection agent on the one hand while they refuse to provide me with any particulars/information regarding the "outstanding amount". Seriously consider another service provider.
