Good day Rick,

Kindly take note that, on 18 August 2016, an email was sent to all customers using GSM packages (on both Vodacom, MTN and CellC) informing customer’s that their respective packages will be migrated back to the respective Mobile Network Operators.

In March 2016, Altech Autopage Cellular closed down due to unknown reasons, when this took place Altech Autopage Cellular sold their existing customer database back to the “mother companies” – (Vodacom customers was sold back to Vodacom, and the same goes for MTN and CellC customers being sold to the respective operators).

Vox Telecom used to be a reseller of Altech Autopage Cellular. You originally signed up with Vox Telecom for an MTN 3G package in March 2012.

As explained in the email which you have received (also sent to you by Ms Kekana, the manager of the Accounts Department), since the aforementioned sale, it has since become unable for Vox to provide and support these products and services – thus we had to give you 3 months’ notice to terminate the contract on Vox’s side. We were left with no other choice than moving the existing database for 3G customers over to the respective Mobile Network Operators.

Please see the below for an explanation as to how you could’ve gone forward with the migration of the package:

“According to our records, your contract has expired (it has run the full 24-month term) and is currently on a month to month basis. In the event that you wish to continue with this service and not terminate the contract, we are able to offer the following options, which will be facilitated by an MTN agency, Alisom Communications (www.alisom.co.za).

Kindly inform us which option you would like to proceed with, based on which the required documents will be forwarded to you to complete and sign.

1- I would like to continue on the month to month plan, directly with MTN
- Should you wish to continue on a month to month basis with MTN (this is the term you are currently operating with Vox Telecom) – you will still receive the prescribed data every month, seeing that the contract was never terminated – please send an email to *** by no later than 1 September 2016, informing us that you would like to continue on a month to month basis in order for us to make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.

2- I would like to transfer my month-to-month subscription to a prepaid subscription, directly with MTN.
- Should you wish to transfer your month to month subscription over to prepaid – this way you will no longer receive the prescribed data going forward, however, you will be able to purchase airtime and transfer it over to data. Should you wish to proceed, please send an email to *** by no later than 1 September 2016, informing us that you would like to migrate to prepaid, in order for us to make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.

3- I do not wish to continue, please proceed with the planned termination.
- Should you wish to cancel the package in full (this way you will not be able to make use of the sim card going forward), please send an email to *** by no later than 1 September 2016, informing us that you would like to terminate the package in full, in order for us to make the necessary arrangements on your behalf.

Kindly email your chosen option to *** by no later than 01 September 2016, in order for us to assist you.”

Please note that if we didn’t receive any confirmation from yourself, that the packages were cancelled automatically.

Regards,

Vox Telecom.
