Opportunistic pricing practices and disdain for existing customers

Vox Telecom reduced the price of their 50/50 fibre package from R1049 to R899 in July/August 2021, however existing customers continued to be billed at the higher rate. On calling to request a refund I was told that either existing customers were presented with the opportunity to pay the new lower price (they weren't), or that in fact the lower price was simply promotional and that the onus is on customers to apply for revised pricing when announced. I was further told that Vox would not credit my account for the 8 months they have overcharged me.

Other reviewers seem to have had similar experiences. If this is Vox's official policy then it is predatory at best, and shows complete disdain for their customers. In all likelihood I will be moving my account to one of the many other ISPs who seem to treat their customers fairly, and warn everyone I can not to open an account with Vox.
