MTN LTE ****- Unreliable Customer Service & Zero Accountability

Vox MTN LTE is an absolute nightmare. Speeds on my 50 Mbps line were consistently under 10 Mbps while a prepaid MTN SIM on the same router hit 74 Mbps.

I’ve spent months opening tickets, doing tests, and explaining the issue, but none of their staff will update anything properly. Tickets get closed, nobody takes accountability, and they keep billing me and sending final notices like I’m the problem.

Even when I prove them wrong, they refuse to admit the service is broken and treat customers like fools. The LTE service is a ****, throttled before the advertised FUP, and Vox doesn’t care at all.

For more on MTN's secret throttling practices, see this article: MTN secretly throttling uncapped 4G in South Africa https://mybroadband.co.za/news/broadband/607525-mtn-secretly-throttling-uncapped-4g-in-south-africa.html

I am also lodging a formal complaint with ICASA and the National Consumer Commission (NCC) regarding this matter. Vox needs to be held accountable.

All over the internet you can see this is an issue? but the customer must suffer your lack of standard service and accountability.

Good day, Jason.  Thank you for your patience while this matter was being attended to.  After conducting a full investigation, we identified that the reduced speeds were caused by network constraints outside of Vox’s control, specifically due to congestion on the LTE infrastructure in your area. We understand that this does not undo the inconvenience caused, but we acknowledge that the service delivered was not aligned with your expectations or our standards. To ensure you are not further disadvantaged, a credit has been processed and app**** for the period 08 September 2025 to 01 November 2025. We can also confirm that the MTN LTE service has been cancelled.  We appreciate your patience throughout this process and sincerely apologize for the impact this has had.  Kind regards,
 Vox
