Most useless service provider I have ever endured
I took a contract with vox in 2018, and I have been using their services since then. However I moved places in December 2021 and requested them to move my contract to the new house by connecting the new house with fibre. I was told that since I already have a box in the new place there won't be a need for installation, but just connection of the fibre network. I have been struggling with connection ever since I moved here, the network loses connection every minute. I decided to eventually cancel my contract with vox and to my dismay I am told that I will need to pay a cancellation fee for the installation and connection of the fibre since I have been with them less than 12 months. I tried to explain that I was with them for more than 3 years, and there was no installation which took place at the new place, but reconnection of the fibre. But they insist that I need to pay +-R2900 for cancellation. I have requested a copy of my contract and no one has come back to me. There is no way I am paying that amount

As per the Subscriber Agreement, Vox waivers the Set Up and Configuration/ Installation Fees upon signup on the condition that the Service remains active for a minimum period of 12 months.
The element of the Service that is comprised of the provision of the Circuit is provided to the specific address set out in the Subscriber Agreement with a Circuit leased by Vox from a network operator. Accordingly, the provision of the Circuit is not transferrable to another premises.
Notwithstanding that the cancellation is necessitated by relocation, Vox needs to recover such costs associated with such cancellation.
