IT'S A TRAP

This company is driving me up the wall and it's determined to ruin my reputation all for nothing. I took out a fiber MONTH to MONTH contract with them in April 2019. In November, I informed an Indian lady at their call center that I was going on a holiday, therefore I won't be home for two months, so I would like to put it on a pause until I return January. When I came back I was sent a statement that I owed for 2 months. I further received a call from them and explained that I'd like to continue with the contract, but it's unfair for them to make me pay for the 2 months I didn't get services for. I could only pay from January upwards. A week later, I get another call that my account was being handed to the lawyers. ***! What is a month-to-month contract? Now I keep receiving threats calls about handing me over!
