*******ly charging penalties for services NOT rendered!
So, everybody hates Telkom right? Well, so did we... then we decided to cancel our Telkom line and sign up with Vox for a fibre line along with other benefits (1 July - X***). Once our order was confirmed the email trail kicked off and seemed to be running smoothly w.r.t their planning... Then the first team (Vumatel) arrived at home and their was incomplete and shocking to say the least... they had to be called back from their vehicle to fix the problem areas and finally insisted that I signed "BLANK DOCUMENTATION" (I have the proof - photos). Afterwards the Vox technician arrived only to tell me that the previous team never even "spliced" the fibre line so that he could do his work and the appointment had to be rescheduled and Vumatel had to dispatch a different team to come and correct their mistakes... afterwards the Vox technician arrived once again and managed to finally complete the installation. I reported the above concerns to VOX but as of today (26 August 2020) I've not received feedback regarding recourse. since the installation was complete I've been trying to get my telkom number ported but Vox wants me to pay a fee for doing this... I've asked them numerous times now for a "correct" invoice which only includes this charge and not a charge for a brand new cordless phone that we are not interested, but nothing... hence we are now paying for a Telkom line as well as a Vox line as your Telkom line apparently has to remain active in order to have your number ported. So along with our fibre order we selected the unlimited call option and also selected the Microsoft 365 family package (12 months). We've been unsuccessful in getting this product activated on our pc's and eventually insisted that Vox assisted us with this... their technicians were also unsuccessful and after a long struggle requested to log onto my pc remotely in order to get this activated... after 3 days of struggling (whilst I was trying work) they were still no nearer to getting this activated on our pc's and eventually I had enough and simply asked them to cancel that benefit and remove it from our package. The cancellation was NOT done as requested and when I received my statement I noticed that I was still being billed for this product (from inception). I contacted the cancellation department and insisted that the cancellation be actioned immediately as per my previous request. This was done eventually and that's when I received notification from Vox which confirmed that I had now not only been charged the monthly fee but rather the FULL 12 MONTH CHARGE AS A PENALTY!!! They had actually been in "breach of contract" for NOT SUCCESSFULLY OFFERING THE SERVICES CHARGED FOR/AGREED UPON and had the absolute cheek to bill me for this! This is ******* and I will do as much harm to the Vox brand as possible going forward for exposing them on all social media platforms including Wendy Knowler @ East Coast Radio (Consumer Watch)!!! Watch this space Vox... I hope your arrogance was worth the loss in revenue/jobs.
