I don't even know what is going on anymore
It is truly disappointing that I find myself here once again, compelled to file a complaint about a business rather than singing their praises. Unfortunately, companies like Vox Telecom have left me no choice due to their blatant unprofessionalism.
Please be aware that I have retained screenshots, emails, and call logs to document all interactions.
The Timeline of Events: 1. Initial Communication (17 Dec 2024): I initiated contact with Vox Telecom via WhatsApp. During this conversation, I provided the address where the internet connection was to be set up, the type of connection package (including the agreed price), and the activation date, which was confirmed as 3 Jan 2025. Everything seemed clear and agreed upon at this stage.
2. Minor RICA Issue (24 Dec 2024): A small hiccup occurred regarding my RICA check, but it was promptly resolved. This marked the end of WhatsApp communication with the specific agent.
3. Email Communication (24–27 Dec 2024): I then received a series of emails from Vox regarding contract acceptance, fibre line updates, terms and conditions, and account setup (including payment methods). Each topic was sent as a separate email, showing that the process was progressing—so I thought.
4. Vumatel’s Activation Attempt (Late Dec 2024): During this time, I received an email from Vumatel (the fibre company) stating that they had received an activation order from Vox. Their first activation attempt failed—understandably so, as I had not yet moved into the property or received the router. How could they activate a connection without the necessary hardware or my presence?
5. Further Installation Updates (30 Dec 2024): On this date, I received multiple updates from Vox and Vumatel. Vumatel stated they had completed the physical installation (despite the property being fibre-ready and not requiring such work). They also informed me they only needed to confirm remote configuration and testing. On the same day, Vox emailed me saying the router delivery was pending and should connect to the Fibre Box upon arrival.
6. Router Delivery & No Activation (2–3 Jan 2025): I received the router on 2 Jan 2025, the day I moved in. Trusting the agreed-upon activation date, I waited the entire day on 3 Jan 2025 for Vox to set up and activate the connection. Yet, no one showed up. No call. No explanation. Nothing.
My Experience: To say I am disappointed would be a gross understatement. This entire ordeal has been a disorganized mess. Vox Telecom has demonstrated a complete lack of respect for my time and commitment as a paying customer. Not only did they fail to follow through on the agreed activation date, but they also lacked the decency to communicate or reschedule. They ghosted me entirely.
Now, they probably expect me to pay for a service I never received? It’s insulting.
At this point, I am seriously considering returning their router and finding a provider that values its customers and understands the basics of professional service delivery.
Vox Telecom, your actions (or lack thereof) have left a lasting impression—and not a good one.
Thank you for your patience whilst this matter was being investigated.
Kindly note that we have received confirmation that the Fibre line has been activated and the installation has been completed.
