Horrible cancellation policy, and ***** bills after cancelling service
I alerted Vox of my intentions to move to a different residential address after having my account with Vox for 4 months to which they advised me that I had to pay the cancellation fee of reapply for reconnection at my new address. I paid the cancellation fee and after moving to my new address was informed that Vox was not fibre ready at the complex. I informed Vox of this and agreed to cancel the pending order for my new address. On the month end that followed they sent me a bill for R46.00, which they took off my account via debit order. They continued to do this for three months after that to which I picked this up and made an enquiry with them. They told me I was paying for the router they had installed. At no time during the cancellation did they tell me I had to return their router or that it I had to pay R46.00 a month for it if not returned. I then arranged for their courier service to come and pick the router up at my house in November with the cancellations department. Their courier never showed up to pick up the router. On 27 Jan 2021 they sent me an invoice for R1091.84 and the reason for this invoice was "penalty fee for non returned router". Their policy is ********* and they make *******. I did not miss any payments with them when they were my fibre provider and I even tried hard to get their service transferred to my new address but when that failed this is how they pay me back. Please beware of this company, sign up to use their service knowing they will make it difficult for you to cancel your service/contract. May the telecoms authorities take note of this ********* behaviour and make this company account for this horrid customer service. I still have the router and still waiting for their courier has not come to fetch it. In the mean time they have decided that I should pay them for it... this is *****ing from their customers and should not be allowed to continue!!
