Held Hostage

So we opened a fibre line through EasyWeb, who had to get our line from Vox. There were issues that led us to cancelling our line with EasyWeb. A week later we get the router from our new ISP but are unable to get a connection, only to find out that Vox has not disconnected our line yet, and dont plan to do so until January?! They are essentially holding us hostage as our ability to enjoy fibre lays solely in their hands. This is absolutely ridiculous!
