From purchase to rent, the fine print that changed.

Two years ago I was looking for a Mesh network system for my home, Vox offered a reliable service and convenient payment methods:

1. Buy outright 2. Pay monthly instalments

This was a great solution and I opted for the monthly payment.

A year later, I thought I would use their services again for a ups that I can use on my main Mesh router for when loadshedding happens.

They again offered they exact same payment methods.

In the last couple month they have decided to change their business practices and NOW only offer to rent the equipment. That is their prerogative.

However, this was NOT the circumstance under which I took on these products. I was paying monthly instalments to own the product.

12 months for the UPS 36 months for the Mesh system

The UPS terms should have been concluded by now, when I realised I was still being charged, I contacted them. They sent me a email back stating Vox products are rented and immediately closed the case.
