Exploitation by Vox Telecom

Good Day,

I would like to notify the fibre market and potential clients hoping to joining Vox Telecom, of the unsatisfactory service and the undisclosed T&C's of Vox Telecom vs the sales pitch and the excuses provided my the management team.

My understanding is that my monthly premium will remain unchanged for 12 months when I selected Vox Telecom as my service provider on 21/08/2018. Furthermore if I maintain the month-to-month contract for 12 months, the installation will be considered free and I will not be liable for the equipment cost should I cancel thereafter (i.e after the 12 months period).

On the 30/11/2018, I received an email communication that my premiums will increase by 5.8% - where this adjustment is effective 1 January 2019. I suggested to the Vox Management team that this should perhaps be disclosed to new joining customers - as their sales pitch gives rise to false advertising.

From my stance as a customer, I will be paying a premium of R 554.00 for 4 months and 11 days (21/08/2018 - 31/12/2018) and the premium will be increasing by 5.8% effective 01/01/2019. With this being said, not even six months into the contractual agreement with Vox - is the Vox team wanting to increasing my premium. This sort of business model and pricing adjustment so soon from contractual initiation is unacceptable and unprofessional to say the least.

I requested for this to be escalated to higher management as I am not willing to accept this sort of exploitation. The response I received says "and unfortunately the increase is to all customers billed for 3 months and longer".

I am fully unhappy regarding the above situation and the outcome/response to my query.

Kind Regards,
