Ethical deficiency personified!

Please share this far and wide! On Saturday morning, 1st December, I open up my inbox on my PC to find an email from Vox Telecoms, my ISP, giving me notice that my data fees were going UP by 5.8%. I emailed them back on the same day to indicate that, due to the fact that it is common knowledge (and confirmed by ICASA) that data prices in South Africa are artificially high and that various efforts are afoot to bring DOWN the price of data, I will be closing my account effective 31st December 2018. Vox had theoretically comp**** with their contractual obligations by giving me a months notice at 18h23 on a Friday evening on the last day of the month! So I get a phone call from a ******* employed by Vox, and the conversation goes something like this: Him: You want to cancel your account. Why? Me: Because your data prices are increasing. Him: But that only equates to maybe R10 or R11 per month. Me: Do the calculation. Him: OK, so it works out to R52.00 per month. So who else are you going to be using? Me: That's my business. Him: Your cancellation will be processed but will only be effective end January 2018 because you did not give a calendar months' notice. Me: F%$K you and Vox. Goodbye!
