Don't Do Buisiness With Vox Telecom

I had a contract with an internet provider (Atlantic Internet) that was later bought over by Vox Telecom. I used their service for a number of years, about five to seven years. My circumstances changed, and I did not need their service any more. This is where the trouble started. I notified Vox Telecom by e-mail over a period of three months to cancel my service, and stop the debit order. After doing it three times over a three month period, and not getting any response, I cancelled the debit order from my side, and stopped using their service. This is where the trouble started. Vox Telecom re-instated the debit order once or twice again, and I had to reverse it immediately to avoid paying for a service I tried to cancel, and was not using any more. After that I once had a phone call from a Vox Telecom agent threatening me with legal action should I not pay the outstanding debit orders. I did not acknowledge the debt and explained to the agent that I had tried to cancel my service with Vox Telecom, in writing, but to no avail. This was about five years ago. Since then a host of debt collecting agencies are harassing me with phone calls on an almost daily basis for the debt I supposedly owe to Vox Telecom. I diligently save (and block) the harassing numbers; Spam Durban #33, Spam Jhb #78, Spam Cape Town #91, Spam 088 #35, Spam 087 #91, and so it goes on. I do this so if I change phones, I will still have record of the harassing numbers, to block them on my new phone as well. I have collected the 660th debt collector Spam number this morning. And once every few months I get a weaselly sms telling me I must pay "my" debt to Vox Telecom to avoid legal action, that never happen of course. (All they want is for you to grow so frustrated with the harassment that you will just pay them to stop) I guess it is a business practice to ignore clients who want to cancel your service for as long as possible, to collect a few more debit orders out of them. The fact that it is ************ does not seem to bother Vox Telecom; but I guess money is money.. Do not do business with Vox Telecom. You will never get rid of them.
