Do not use VOX! EVER!!!
Do not use VOX. We have experiences the worst service in South Africa from VOX (and that is saying a lot). 2 years ago when opening new offices we approached VOX to quote on Fiber for our office. While meeting their sales representative we made it clear that we will only be in that office for 1 year, and asked what the implications would be if we move. Her answer: "you can move at any time and it will not cost you extra". When we then moved a year later, we were informed that we would now need to cancel the agreement, pay ridiculous cancelation fees, and sign a new agreement - we may note that the office we moved to was inside the same building.
After a major fight, we scheduled the move to align with VOX's timelines as they assured us that (after paying the cancelation blood money) there will be no downtime at all. Leading up to the moved, we were then informed that we have to install new fiber in the new office, and that there is another cost for that. We again requested confirmation and surety that we will not have any downtime when moving - again being assured by the VOX representative (the 3rd one we may add) that we will be able to plug in and continue working.
Come the day of the move, there is no connectivity and upon querying, VOX informed us that they still need to install. Here I can mention that it was a back and forth from VOX continuously blaming their contractors and shifting blame. Remember, we followed their apparent timelines and were assured all will be in order... After months of not having any correctively, we were informed that the fiber line they installed was incorrect and another one must now be installed, which will have further costs. Up to this point, we had to pay a cancelation fee we were assured would not be charged, pay installation for the incorrect fiber installation, pay for the correct fiber installation and pay our monthly fees regardless of not having any connectivity - not to mention the loss in income caused by VOX's utter incompetence.
After many deliberations and words being shared, we finally (month after we were assured we would have no downtime) got internet - spotty internet - but internet. At this point we informed the 4th representative (because no one lasts long at VOX it would appear) that we will be moving in 18 months again, and they then assured us that we are on a year contract and thereafter we will fall on month-to-month.
Now, last month when the last 18 months past and we informed VOX that we will cancel as we are moving, we were informed that only our PABX is on month-to-month, and that there remains over 360 days payable on our fiber contract. When querying this, they claim that the first contract - which we cancelled already - is still in force and that they are now claiming over R15 000 for the cancelation fees on that. I remind you, the contact they are charging cancelation on now is the one they already cancelled (or led us to believe was cancelled). To add insult to injury, from giving notice our internet speed and VOiP quality has dropped to the lowest tear, yet we are still expected to pay "executive fees".
I have paid the blood money again to get rid of this ********* company, and do not want anything to do with VOX any longer. I have to give it to VOX for a "brilliant" business model - de*****ing customers into contracts they did not know they are under and then claiming cancellation fees more than once on such fictional contract, all while knowing the client's have no recourse other than to pay.
