Do not be fooled by Vox

If there was a minus star I would give Vox that. I have never, ever experienced such poor service and attitude from any service provider. One of Vox's representatives contacted me when I asked on Facebook for suggestions on good and reliable wifi service providers. I specifically told him 3 weeks in advance (on 2 Aug) that I needed the Wi-Fi to be ready and set up by 21 Aug as my income depends on Wi-Fi. He promised me there would be no issue.

When Openserve came to do the installation on the 21st, they found a fault in the line, which was fixed the next day. I contacted Vox countless times thereafter with each customer care agent promising me that they would get back to me. Of course no one did. They kept on telling me their system showed a fault on the line despite the fact that the line was fixed! There was no communication between Vox and Openserve, and I had to make all the calls between Openserve and Vox to tell customer service that everything is up and running.

By Thursday the 24th, after phoning customer care 10 times, with several calls to the representative, which refused to take my calls, I sent an email saying that I cannot work with incompetence like that and that I'm cancelling my contract in writing. The representative sent me a whatsapp later that evening telling me that he was busy and attending to other issues. He continued by saying that if I wanted to cancel, I must please do so. He also told his manager that I never told him the importance of having Wi-Fi by the 21st. Luckily I have all the Whatsapps and voice recordings to proof him wrong.

I STILL did not have a rooter and thus no service on Friday the 25th. On Friday, I phoned customer care again to make sure they log the cancellation. Then miraculously the router was delivered to my house on Monday 28 Aug while I was not at home, so security received it for me. The parcel is still sealed in it's original package and courier bag.

I told (called and sent email) Vox to either collect the router or that I would drop it off. Then I got the emails saying that I have to pay a cancellation fee, plus 10 days pro rata and another month's subscription fee. The amount almost coming up to R4000.

THIS WHILE I HAVE NO ROUTER FROM VOX INSTALLED, CANCELLED THE CONTRACT BEFORE I EVEN RECEIVED A ROUTER AND HAVE NO WIFI.

There is a reason why Vox has so many negative reviews.
