Closed account but still charging it, black listing unfair, threats of legal action against client for a fault made by Vox

<div>The worst service provider after sales service, bad accounting, incorrect charging on a closed account. I joined Vox Telecommunications in 2022, they sold me a Telkom LTE package and in the beginning I had good service until October 2022 when my internet suddenly stopped working. After reporting the fault, I was told that the telkom tower had a problem and that it will only be fixed in 6 months time. That forced me to cancel my contract with Vox. I recieved a reference number to confirm my account had been terminated and that now I need to pay R299 courier fee for them to collect their equipment. I didnt pay the R299 at that stage as I argued I can send it to them by courier for less. Suddenly, in June 2023 I started recieving text messages from Vericred Collection Agency demanding I pay R2730.01 which according to them my Vox account was in arrears. I contacted Vox immediately by email to find out what was happening as I informed them my account had been closed in October 2022, but I recieved no reply. After several days of no response I called Vox and *****, one of the Vox Call Centre Agents was assisting, several emails back and forth, she confirmed that Vox had made a mistake and had started recharging my closed account. I still had the equipment so she asked if I would pay the R299 (which I did on 21 June 2023), which she said was a termination fee and not in fact a courier fee and that once it had been paid a courier will be sent to collect the equipment and once Vox recieves their equipment back they will reverse all charges, remove the black listing they placed against my name and cancel the debt collectors. I was then told to provide a physical address for collection as I reside on a farm and they do not collect from a farm otherwise it will cost me more for them to arrange collection from the farm. I then provided ******* with a friends address and took the equipment to my friend. After I paid tge fee of R299 no more responses were forthcoming from Vox nor ****** even though several emails were sent during the past two months to her to find out the status of this issue. Two months later the equipment has still not been collected, Vox do not reply to my emails. I still recieve text messages from Vericred Collections, the latest one recieved on 10th August 2023 stating that I have 72 hours to pay R2431.01 to avoid legal action. (Note that Vox had informed Vericred Collections that I had paid R299 and the amount due is exactly R299 less than what it was in June). It is now 12th August 2023 and to date, no attempt at collection of their equipment has been made. No response from Vox has been forthcoming. I still sit with R2431.01 debt that is not even mine against my name, my name is black listed and I am threatened with legal action if I do not pay. Is this the type of treatment you give your clients? Shame on you. Now I ask, how are YOU Vox going to clean your mess up and how long am I going to need to wait further to get my name cleared and the debt that is not mine cleared up and the harrassment from Vericred Collections stopped?</div>
