Businesses beware - ********* Cancellation Policy!
Besides their pricing which is significantly higher than competitors, once you are out of contract and wish to cancel the service they require 3 months’ notice. You may be thinking that this is ******* (against the CPA, which it is), but because we are a business and not protected by the CPA, VOX can get away with the clause in their contract. I initially tried to cancel in September 2020, they phoned me and convinced me to downgrade our line to a much cheaper alternative, from R5873 per month to R1600 per month. After waiting two months for the downgrade, I finally sent another email to cancel because clearly the downgrade was not something they had any intention of doing. I sent the second cancellation email on 12 November 2020. As of 27 Jan 2021, I am still paying the R5873 per month for a service we switched off months ago! They called me to say that I would have to pay for February as well because they have a 3 calendar month cancellation policy for companies who are out of contract!!!
How a company that treats customers like this can survive in this environment is beyond me. Looking at all the VOX comments on Hellopeter it appears that it will not be long before the chickens come home to roost!
The loss of revenue that VOX suffers due to my story will be far greater than the 3 months of notice period income. Very short sighted, poor leadership!
