Being ignored by Vox Telecom
Great service to start up and consistent speeds as well, HOWEVER, their customer service stinks. So I’ve been miss-sold on payment dates as per usual Sales dogs right. Signed up in May 2022 to Vox and was told that’s I’d pay pro-rata and for June with first payment at the end of June 2022. That sounds good and needed the fibre as I work from home and would be convenient right. Signed up on a Thur and before the next Thur everything was sorted. Working from home and streaming and actually a pleasure to work at good speeds. FYI my areas usual adsl network drops and very intermittent. Come June and I get a bill prorata including June ahead. Sent Vox an email via their app No reply. I get a letter stating I’m now overdue installments. And send a email with no reply
Then almost 2 weeks had passed by and thought ok they got my email and maybe changed the date and the service is still ongoing Start of the third week on a Monday morning, my network is suspended. Now I’m inconvenienced as I don’t have a device to link to my pc and am now missing a days work due to the inconvenience.
I thought what the hell, I just need my isp to be up and running so I send them an email telling them I was told by the Salesman that my first payment would be the end of June 2022 and shows differently. I asked if they could please reinstate my account and take the funds on the 27th and their month in advance. Which is a lot as it’s about 2.5 months. And explain that I understand this is not a business connection, however it’s the inconvenience with not having network and having to buy data when I’m paying for Fibre already. The inconvenience is my complaint.
Just over 24hts later, The service agents replies explaining prorata to me. I said in the email I sent what happened and clearly miss-sold and hand the agent the easiest card just to reinstate and I’ll make the payments on the new confirmed date. Also stating that the agent note I’m not looking to claim anything for being misssold, I just need my network. Please reinstate due to the fact I was missold and I’ll make payments as required.
2 days later and no reply. Now I feel as if they agent told me it’s that way and they’re not entertaining any further conversation about this. So I reply asking if they’re seriously not going to reply to me. So I’ll have to change my stance. And am now querying being missold requesting a call back. I get an email back saying that they tried calling and I didn’t answer. And that the amount is still overdue.
I now no longer want this service as I feel that any queries going forward would get frustrating and I don’t see easy resolutions with the service they provide even if it’s a technical issue. I project billing issues and as the service is so bad. I bet people just leave the query even if charged too much due to frustrations. As I was missold I want to cancel and can come fetch all your equipment as if this service never happened in my life. To be ignored as a customer raises red flags for me. I’ve never experienced such bad service in my life before
