Appalling Service and Attitude !
Hello, I have known Vox to have great service ethics and high standards but our last interaction with an employee has left us utterly disappointed. We found a Fibre special online with Vox and decided immediately to proceed because of their great reputation. Andrew Murray was the Sales person that picked up the lead and was quick to respond to all questions via email. Then the ordering process started - he gave a lead time of up to 2 weeks due to backlogs, etc. Fibre provider was TT Connect. Over 3 weeks later a technician just rocked up to install..no communication for arrangement as he promised, etc. Anyway luckily someone was home, but we were advised that its over 15m and therefore we'll have to pay R149 pm and total was over R2200 addtional. Now in my initial questions to Andrew was one that i specifically asked - 'Is there no upfront fees like installation or activation'? answer was 'yes because it was a promotion they are running'. That was the main reason we went ahead. Now the fun starts..Andrew didn't answer calls while the technician was onsite so i mailed him to contact me, he did. i explained the situation...he immediately went on the defensive and said 'go read the Terms and Conditions' and i can escalate to whoever i want to. I read it and it said that a network provider MAY charge additional installation unless there's a promotion...i told him this and referred him to his confirmation that he was NO upfront fees as this was a promotion! He said again that we agreed to the t's and c's even though he has contradicted what his own t's and c's contained, in writing. He refused to accept responsibility and the TT Connect tech said this is not the first time and the sales guys often do this just to get the sale. Trying to get Andrew to understand or reason was a nightmare...he never listens and just talks over you. I told him to refer this to management and meet me halfway as this is unacceptable and blatant negligence. He then says that i am strong arming him into getting a discount ?? I didn't ask for a discount, i asked for what was agreed to IN WRITING with his confirmation after wasting 3 weeks of our time. He went on try and persuade me to not go with TT Connect but rather with Vuma at R200+ more PM because they are a 'better' provider! This guy needs to learn respect and good mannerism when dealing with customers and not assume that some of us know nothing about telecoms and sales or process & procedures. He said i must escalate so that is what i am doing, more so because of his lack of respect towards me. He is going to defend himself and deny all of this so I have all the emails pertaining to this and you can retrieve the voice recordings as well to verify. This service is contrary to Vox's usually high service standards and ethics that i have known. Can management please contact me with a resolution at the soonest. Thanks
