Voltex Meter a bad choice
The Voltex DP120KP prepaid meter is very poorly designed and is not in the least user friendly. With a power outage, the meter cannot be recharged elsewhere as it only operates from the home socket via. a three pin plug with no backup battery facility. There is no signal to alert you when the electricity is running low. Purchases of prepaid electricity can only be made at a few retail outlets and not through online banking facilities. I have been greatly inconvenienced with waiting for City Power to visit, merely to load the prepaid units that I have purchased. I hope that future prepaid meters would be purchased with the user in mind.
