Has anyone received ridiculous bills from City of Jhb regarding money owed for electricity while on prepaid with Voltex????
We had our water shut off in Thornhill for R97 000 owed.
When we went to our local municipality in Thornhill to query this we were told that its an error and they submitted the query on our behalf.
The rude aggressive person named Lesego Serongoane from a company called Motswatse Mapula Construction came to our home with an expired ID card and shut our water off. When he was confronted about why the water was being shut off he was rude and grabbed his *****driver defensively.

We have managed to make contact with Sham who mentioned the following issues:
1. The City of Johannesburg Post Paid Billing
2. Issues with Prepaid Meter
As discussed with Sham with regards to point 1, Voltex is only responsible for the supply and installation of the Prepaid Meters therefore the issue with the Post Paid billing needs to be taken up directly with City Power/City of Johannesburg.
With regards to point 2, we have arranged for one of our consultants to inspect the Prepaid Meter onsite. You can expect a call within the next 12 hours to arrange a date and time for the inspection to take place.
Whilst we are unfortunately not able to assist with both of your issues, we are more than happy to assist where we can.
