Being Messed Around

On 23/07/15 we went to Volpes canal walk and ordered a rug as they didnt have in stock. The salesman said it would take roughly 2 weeks to deliver, I accepted and made the order. 3 weeks later yesterday 14/08 I receive a call informing me that the rug has finally arrived. So we travel 18km to canal walk from our home to buy the rug. After one salesperson comes out the back with the complete wrong rug, she walks all over looking for the rug, she then appears to help the other salesperson with a problem and then eventually comes to me and simply says it's not there?? Then she says they only have the wrong rug she showed me earlier.I say a man called me in the morning and told to come to the shop as my rug had arrived.She then says that only a women would have called me and I must be wrong as if I'm some crazy thing lol After affirming her that I spoke to a man I see the salesman walk towards us who initially dealt with us when we initially ordered the rug.My partner asked if he remembers us and he said he was the guy who called but my rug is not there but must be on its way.As if that will ease my worries.After a quiet insincere apology we had to leave.No compensation.Still waiting
