Worst service ever!

bought a new VW Amarok in 2015 and had no issues with it. In November 2017, while travelling to Gauteng from Cape Town, 60km past Beaufort West, the vehicle broke down. I contacted VW roadside assistance, and they were of great assistance to get the vehicle to Lindsay Saker Bloemfontein and to supply a rental vehicle to get back to Gauteng.

My vehicle has now been at Lindsay Saker Bloemfontein since 8 November 2017. They never contacted me with updates, and I had to phone them to obtain information with regards to my vehicle. Since my vehicle has been with them, it was under three different technicians, one not knowing what the other has done. At no point did the services manager Pedro van der Walt, made an effort to contact me, even when I requested him to do so multiple time. One various occasions I contacted the dealership, and was promised that a rep or the manager will contacted me later. this never happened, and I had to phone them back every single time. With great effort I managed to get information from the dealer that said an conrod punched through the engine block due to over fuelling on one of the injectors. After a big struggle it was determined that the whole engine was to be replaced under warranty - the whole engine. They said that only the alternator and starter will not be replaced.

This was in the middle of December 2017, and I was told that the lead time for the engine from Germany was 4 to 6 weeks, therefor taking us to mid or end January 2018.

VW South Africa was involved from the beginning, but at this point disengaged since, according to them, the matter was resolved.

They received the engine from Germany in the middle of January, and fitted and tested it, after which they found the one injector to be faulty. The fixed it, and started with the process of police clearance for the new engine, when they realised that the engine had no engine number! At this point I complaint to the office of the Managing Director of VWSA, and they assisted. Apparently it was a glitch in their system that the engine had to go to Uitenhage from Germany to get a engine number from where it goes to the dealer after that.v This did not happen and it went to the dealer directly, with no engine number.

Only after this complaint, did VW give me a courtesy vehicle after I struggled for three months without my vehicle, and still paying my instalments to VW Financial services during this time. VW just told me that they do not guarantee mobility, and therefor will not supply me with a vehicle. I only received a courtesy vehicle two weeks ago, when they realised their mistake with the engine number.

They had to remove the engine again and send it to VW for a engine number. This happened on 6 February 2018. They got the engine back on 9 Feb and refitted it, whereafter it went for police clearance on 12 February. At this point the communication stopped from VW, with the last conversation stating that everything is tested, and that the vehicle will be delivered to me.

I got a phone call on 19 February saying that the one injector is faulty and needs to be replaced and will not be covered under warrantee, and will cost me R9000.

At this point I lost it completely, and cannot take it any longer
