What a pathetic service, what an attitude from the VOLKS WAGEN aka VW

I am still new in Johannesburg just moved from Cape Town, 2weeks back on a rainy Friday, dark as the weather wasn’t good, I offered to pay using an eft but the workshop manager refused saying, they cannot and I thought it is trusting issues and I then asked if they can be patient with me and call a friend eft money to her account so that she can use her bank card to swipe, he then said the finance department is closed as it was already round about 5pm and he advised I must come get the car following day when I have a card as they are not going to accept the card, I told him I am still new in JHB, never used public transport in Jozi, and not sure where to get a taxi, I even told him it is raining outside and it is dark, I have a work laptop, cant they drop me off at my place atleast which is 15km from the dealer, he refused and asked to call uber, I showed him my both phones that both batteries are dead, he then offered his landline to call someone to pick me up. Only one friend I had her number by head, and she did not pick up her phone, he then asked me to charge and ask someone else at 2% I called my other friend who is also not fami**** and scared of Jozi to meet in Jozi as it was convenient for both of us. I asked around for taxis, stood on the taxi que, got wet and took almost 2hours to get to town.

I felt so undermined, embarrassed and my safety being compromised at VolksWagen.

I reported this at VW head office and they asked me what do I want them to do, I asked them to ask workshop manager to call me and apologies, tell me if he believes to go an extra mile for a customer.

Later guy by the name James who is superior to the manager called me, he was then asking questions from his staff while I am on the phone. His staff telling a contradicting statement, we could not allow him to do an eft because the accounts was offwork already when I tell him but following day I used the same eft that they refused me to use the previous day and there were only two people in the dealership they changed a story saying I wanted someone to pay for me I never asked for eft and I told him they are lying. And James told 3 of his staff say I was rude to one lady and they agree on one thing, then I told him because they are lying I don't think I must accept the apology seeing that they do not know what they did. James posed a question, who apologized because I never did. VW SA sincerely apologized and told me there is nothing they can do as this dealership is private owned, and the Melrose Arch VW management will deal with this internal, my question is James was biased and believed his staff and he was rude and he is part of management, and workshop manager is part of this complaint and he is lying so who is really going to make them accountable? Because the dealership is private owned, how VW keep their brand protected from their private dealership. I could not find answers. No one was accountable for all this instead James told me I don’t deserve any apology, it was miss understanding between me and his staff and I was rude to his staff, going an extra mile was them dropping me off at work after I left my car. I was disappointed to VW head office (SA) when they told me they cannot give orders to the dealership as it is private owned, so how do VW protect their brand reputation from such pathetic/ heartless people from Melrose VW Dealership? Or are they also believe I was wrong and this was Melrose VW spiting me? So not sure!
