VWSA and their dealerships VW Thompson Makhado and Hatfield pretoria
I bought a VW Polo TSI last year may the first service of the vehicle was November same year 2019 then December 25 the vehicle started to indicate coolant then overheating. I took the vehicle to Makhado VW Thompson and the service adviser Riaan told me is a switch and warrant won't cover for it I gave him go ahead and fix the vehicle few minutes later he called me again saying is a radiator hit by stone fine told him again fix it, I then on Monday the 30 December ask if the vehicle was fixed he told me the radiator had not been delivered yet, I on my side called my insurance regarding payment they said they will need photos of the vehicle, I gave them VW Thompson contact number and the person responsible for the vehicle Riaan to ask for him, they came back to me saying he refused with what their asking for. I told insurance is fine let them fix the car afterwards maybe they will give them what is needed to make payments. Around the 10 January 2020 the guy from Thompson vw called me saying radiator is fitted but the vehicle is still overheating I asked him way forward he said he will have to open the engine I said anything that will make the vehicle fixed. While I was waiting for feedback he called saying no the vehicle was driven without antifreeze I asked him did the car have it when I left with him he said yes he will check, he called again the vehicle was driven without water Riaan you keep on telling me different stories am felling to understand that's me telling Riaan from the dealership. I called VWSA they said they will investigate now is towards the 22 January 2020, they came back to me saying vehicle radiator is damaged by stone I said ok can that information be given to insurance for payment and my car be fixed they rep**** by saying will get back to you and I told them that I don't even have a car to use currently I was told that dealership must provide I waited for feedback and it came back saying the is nothing we can assist you with tell dealership to fix the car and I responded that I did but the dealership is keeping on telling other stories of what must have caused the car overheating they rep**** by saying the is nothing we can do. I called vw Hatfield pretoria where I bought the vehicle the lady said take the to hellopeter I wrote to MIOSA and on the 27 January 2020 they sent email to VWSA and I was copied I went through email and it said they must reply within 10 days, I called after 10 days with them again they said I must wait for a month I said but on your email it must be 10 days the guy who assisted me said I must write email to case manager i did still no response i called wesbank am not getting any assistance now am paying for vehicle for months now not having it. Now the service manager at Thompson vw called my mother and say she must come and fetch the vehicle she asked if it fixed and how much will it cost as is fixed he said no the car is not fixed as is still overheating so the is no reason for her to pay for radiator that's the pain to a parent being told such a thing.
