VW WEISS PATHETIC

I wish to bring to the Public’s attention and VW South Africa my extremely disappointing experience with VW Weiss. My VW Amarok ran out of Factory Warranty in November 2015 and an extended Warranty was offered to me by VW and the company used was Eqstra. My vehicle went through a stringent 80 point check with VW Weiss and in February 2016 my vehicle broke down. Upon investigation, it was found that my flywheel ceased prematurely and Eqstra declined my claim. VW Weiss confirms that this was a premature failure (attached see screenshots below) however, they still failed to repair this. I had to pay ~ R15000 from my pocket which I am extremely disgruntled for. What does this say about the VW brand? I feel so insecure to take this expensive vehicle anywhere due to reliability concerns. I am afraid to now use the VW Amarok due to a large concern that if it breaks, I will be out of pocket again. This vehicle has only done ~75000km before this breakdown. Is this what VW is all about? Poor service and reliability! Does this mean that as soon as a vehicle is out of VW Factory Warranty, that one should not purchase a VW Amarok? What does this say about the VW Brand (supposed to be highly reputable?) To add insult to injury, I was sold the extended warranty by VW South Africa in its dealership. VW South Africa has endorsed this product of EQSTRA. The complicity and liability cannot be absolved by VW South Africa as VW South Africa recommended this product to me. Finally, the EQSTRA’s policy which is VW SOUTH AFRICA endorsed that I am covered for mechanical failure – which the dealer VW WEISS admits. VW South Africa and its endor*****t of EQSTRA’s product have left me ‘short-changed.’ In essence it means VW South Africa sold me a product on their floor which they had no intention of honouring. I have been a loyal VW customer with a long pedigree of buying the ‘people’s car’ VW South Africa has shattered my belief in its product and I am still R15000.00 short-changed.
