I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction and anger with Bidvest McCarthy Volkswagen in Durban, I purchased a brand new VW Amarok from them, a vehicle touted as a hard-wearing bakkie. However, after driving it for only a few kilometers, it has already broken down.

When I returned to the dealership, expecting them to fix the issue under warranty, they outright refused. Despite the fact that the vehicle is practically new and should not have such severe problems so soon, they are making it my responsibility to cover the repair costs.

To make matters even worse, Volkswagen South Africa has been equally unhelpful. They are refusing to take responsibility for the poor quality of this vehicle and are essentially washing their hands of the issue, leaving me to deal with this mess on my own.

It is outrageous that after spending a significant amount of money on what was supposed to be a reliable vehicle, I am now being forced to pay for repairs on a bakkie that has barely been driven. Both the dealership and Volkswagen South Africa have shown a complete disregard for customer care and satisfaction.

I urge everyone to avoid Bidvest McCarthy Volkswagen Pinestreet at all costs. Their service is appalling, and their products clearly do not live up to the standards they claim. Save yourselves the frustration and financial burden that I am now dealing with.
