VW SLACK & SORRY BUT HAS TO BE SAID

I took my VW Polo GTI for a service and potential sale. The only reason I wanted to sell it is that I am relocating.

Booked in on Friday for collection on Monday and when I arrived I was told this car was 100% in order.

I said to the service rep - has 2nd hand looked at buying it. He said they had even though the car was in good working order and had a full service history they would not buy it as it was 10 years old - I said it is only 9 as per paperwork and then he changed and said milage was too high - after I have now spent R 55 000.00 on the mechatronic system being replaced, DSG box full service.

Then the light bulb. Now we have a boy child with a laptop trying to figure out why this is happening - keep in mind 55k down the drain and this happens. He does not know what is wrong and now I need to book it back in again. I do this and apparently by some coincidence the left light was replaced but now the right needs to be done too.

After booking it in now it is more than a bulb. I have to change the the timing chain - healthy car light bulb change and normal service.

REALLY?

The people that make and service this car with all their costly stamps will not even buy it.

I now have an offer after spending so much on it for next to nothing and almost feel like parking it and walking away.

Since I was 18 I owned a German car - Opel x 2, Audi TT Cab, VW Polo GTI and now I know why my friends won't touch them going forward.
