VW Shocking service
Tuesday the 1 Dec 15, my car broke down, & it was towed to VW Braamfontein, it seems there was a problem with the clutch, cost to replace and fix it is R13380. My beetle is 1year old, has less than 15000 kms on the clock & went in for its 1st service a few weeks ago to VW Weltevreden Park & no probems were picked up. Surely VW would have picked up there was a problem with the clutch & this just don't happen overnight since its been stated the clutch burnt out. I have a VW maintenance plan up to 60000 kms which covers wear & tear but VW states this is for my own account. I have contacted VWSA but theres no communication between them & the dealership, I keep calling for feedback & one week later I sit with no vehicle.I received better service & better experience with Citroen & Opel. Now I sit with the bill to replace a clutch on a brand new vehicle where clearly VW did not do a proper service & their maintenance plan that covers what exactly?? Why go to Volkswagen & pay hefty amounts for a service & maintenance plan when theres no proper service & now the customer has to pay for something thats not my fault.no courtesy vehicle was offered, want VW to contact me with a solution
