VW sells faulty cars

Am going to share a bit of my experience that might help others . When you buy a car you have 3 rights that you can exercise within 6 months from day of purchase. 1-Repair 2-Replacement or exchange 3-Get a Refund

1. If you bought a Brand new car that end up giving you problems in less than 6 month from the date of purchase and you want to take the car back .

- Don’t take the car to the dealership first (e.g car bought in January but you encounter that some thing is faulty like brakes, steering wheel, handbrake, Air-con, heater. etc,

Call the ombudsman they will help to facilitate for replacement or refund if you don’t want the car to be fixed and returned to you.

If you take the car to the dealership they will repair the car , once it is repaired before calling the Ombudsman you loss any chance of getting a replacement or refund.

Dealership hide behind their warranty when they don’t want to admit that they sold you a faulty car .

Yes , every car comes with a warranty but doesn’t mean you have to accept a faulty car that will be repaired constantly just because you are not paying for it .

Hope this can help someone out there who recently bought a new car that is faulty. Even if the car was repaired maybe the first time , as long as you are still on the 6 months period, should you encounter a second or third time you can still get the car replaced or get the refund should you feel you don’t want the car anymore. Am sharing this because VW is selling faulty cars as brand new cars
