VW-SA POOR AFTER-SALES SERVICE

I've recently purchased a VW Golf 14tsi, and was very happy with my purchase until I discovered that the vehicle had a ventilation problem, in that hot air is being delivered into the cabin despite the vehicles ventilation being turned off. I therefore decided to take it into a local dealership who services VW vehicles (Market Square VW in Uitenhage) to have the problem repaired. After nearly three weeks with my vehicle being in there possession they were unsuccessful in rectifying the problem, stating that they have been in contact with VW SA and VW Germany in connection with this problem and went on to say that this occurrence is perfectly normal, in other words I have to drive with the air-con always turned on, just to keep a reasonable temperature in the cabin. This is totally absurd. Surely If I wanted heat on I would select the heat function on the temperature dial and when I want cool air I'd select the air-con function, however if I decide I want no air, I must simply put up with hot air entering the cabin. This is so unprofessional and VW SA refuses to do anything to rectify the problem. All that was sent to me was a report. I used to be and avid ambassador for VW to date but this is the type of service that will cause me to sway my loyalties. Be careful wannabee VW Car buyers, because you might get an "o well letter" saying that's too bad, just deal with it or put up with it, having no way to remedy the situation.
