VW SA Manufacture problem Claim denied and Declined
God evening My Name is Claudio Hammond and I own a VW T5 which I bought in 2016 Sept from a dealership in Centurion Lifestyle motors. Since I have the vehicle I had endless problems with it from day one. I travelled to Kzn and Back which the vehicle overheated and Was using Huge amount of oil, in 11 August 2017 My Turbo Broke due to low oil loss of the engine. I managed to fix the overheat problem bought a new Turbo Imported from Germany via Turbofix after a staggering R27.000.00 and I redone my cylinder head while the Turbo was off cost me R12.000.00 which My motorplan was not much help as they covered only R7000 of the amount. I had to make two loans in order to get this vehicle running again and Late November/ Dec 2017 it was fixes and I hoped all was good. But just to find out the Oil problem still persisted, I tried to get advise on what it could be and most comments and feedback was my oil rings and pistons which is a huge cost so I googled the T5 models as most people complained about the same problem on the VW T5 CARAVELLE 2010 & 11 Models which I came accross an Article placed on the web site as Manufacture Problems/faults in Germany and around the world on the CFC engine codes of the VW T5 engines and Audi A5 for 2010 &2011 models which they had to recall and either change the engine or Redo the Piston,Sleeves and Rings as the had a Factory fault since these were made in thosw years and the lroblem was only fixed from 2012 models onwards. I wrote an Email to VW SA and they have called me back and admitted on telephone that this was the case and my vehicle I had bought 2nd hand was never recalled. They then Declined my Claim to assist me with this vehicle/engine Oil Problem as it is using up a 5litre of oil in 3 weeks which I travel about 600-800km I have to drive with a 5 litre of oil evetime I go somewhere which is costly. VW SA manager hat consulted me advised that VW will not assist and this is now my problem due to reasons that the vehicle has not had its last service with them and only had 4 before I bought it and 2 that they did not dianose my vehicle but a aftermarket/Rmi approved dealer did. I am so disspointed in the whole Brand VW as I drove VW my whole life and so did my late father. My previous T5 was a base model and I did not have this problem. Volkswagen SA denies these eligations now which is on the web site and they refuse to send me in writing that they decline my claim. there website for info was on : https://honestaboutcars.com/2016/10/25/manufacturing-defects-on-t5-and-a5/ mail send on the 12 March 2018 assisted by Leandra feedback I was called on 14/15 March 2018. Is there anyway that I can get assistance on this as I have spend almost R 70.000 on this vehicle to keep it running and its problem after problem and I cannot sell it as the shortfall is so big and I will have to pay in more money Just to Get Rod of it.
thank you in advance.
