VW McCarthy ARCADIA unprofessional and ruse

VW McCarthy ARCADIA It is with so much sadness and frustration that I have to write this message.

My brother inlaw traded his car in for a brand new secondhand vehicle. Model T-ROC 2.0 TSI 4M R-LINE DSG. The sales person told us that he will send all necessary documents attached to the car via email. Upon driving the vehicle to the garage to pour petrol we realized that the petrol cap cover has been glued closed. Was it not a struggle to close the cap cover because of this fault.

We drove the car home. Half way on the high way on our way back home the line assist started taking over and turning onto the on coming vehicles, the car began to do emergency stops and malfunctioning. We inform the sales man of all the faults we so far saw. 3 days went passed and we started noticing more problems. I was driving the car and almost bumped someone because of the steering wheel turning and I couldn't get it to turn back onto the road. I heard several times, a knocking sound coming from the engine as well as when turning. With everything happening we informed vw branch. They came and fetch the vehicle and gave us a courtesy car. The car was with us for a few days less then a week. The sales person called saying that they found a fault with the sensor and line assist and it cannot be fixed that they are coming to fetch the courtesy car. These people came at 22:45 at my house threatening myself and my husband that they will call tracker and break whatsoever to get the vehicle. Police were called and came to my place. They brought the vehicle that is not fixed saying that the vehicle is a left handed vehicle and they changed it so the vehicle has those problems. Lying to us saying we never informed them about the other problems of the vehicle. Mind you we have noticed that the vehicle was in an accident and was never report to us. Yet we still dont have the report of the 80 point check or declaration to see what was written on the report. We refused to take the vehicle as to it malfunctioning and having problems. They told us they would return the courtesy car but never did.

My brother went to the branch and the manager (Jusewes Smuts- ***) was so arrogant towards them having all 3 vehicles and not wanting to cancel the deal and return the traded in vehicle. Saying that the bank is refusing and that it cannot be done.

We've been going back and forth with this branch and not getting the satisfaction out of the situation. This have been on going since the 13th of June 2025. Today the manager states that he will not cancel the deal because there's nothing wrong with the vehicle as well as threatening us that the vehicle will be repossessed. He then made an example of buying a TV at Micro and deciding to return it but not having a solid reason as to why the returning of the TV. The guy stated that we can call our lawyers take him to court do whatsoever we want too, we won't succeed because there's nothing wrong with the car. I requested his superiors numbers and was told that the guy is out on meetings by ABSA and I couldn't call him but only on Monday the whole day.

Yet we have not received the satisfaction of this whole situation. We are sitting with no vehicle and have been bolting just to get from one place to another. Imagine paying R1110 this week on bolt because we are carless due to what these people are doing.

Very unprofessional and arrogant.
