VW Mastercars are actually a bit *****. Check them THOROUGHLY!

I recently bought a demo Polo "VW Mastercar" just over one year old from a Lindsay Saker VW branch in Alberton. On delivery I inspected the car and everything seemed fine except that it wasn't particularly clean on the inside, but was willing to let that go. Then when driving the car for the first time I noticed a bad vibration. I took it back to Alberton where they discovered that the back two wheels had bad flat patches on them. They replaced the tires but this cost me an entire day and a trip to Alberton (I live in Pretoria) for something that they should have picked up. On top top of this there was also a loose panel under the handbrake, which they fixed. Surely you guys check your "Mastercars" thoroughly before you send them to customers??

Then when they phoned me to ask about their service I said it was ok, except for the tyres episode and the fact the the car wasn't properly cleaned (I found a piece mango under the handbrake). They informed me that their "valet team wasn't there" the week my car was delivered and asked me to bring in back in to get cleaned properly. When I was there I waited for over 3 hours while they cleaned my car. When I finally got it there where still dirty marks on ALL the seats and doors, so I had to point everything out to them and they cleaned it. So finally after 2 days of my time written off I thought this should be the end of it. But no. About a week later I noticed that the chrome finish on one of the front grill panels was peeling off!! I sent them foto's and they informed me that it must be something that I did and that they unfortunately cannot help me since I signed for the car when it was delivered. ***!!! This is my first VW. And I specifically bought a "mastercar" because I didn't want any issues like this. But really, so far the service and support has been f&^ing pretty shocking!

And this is not all. When I was searching for a VW at another VW branch in Braamfontein, they took me for a testdrive in a 1.6 Polo sedan. Before the drive I asked them if the vehicle has been in any accidents. The salesman informed me that it hasn't. I took it for a drive and everything seemed fine. When we returned I walked around the car to check it and I started to notice that some of the panles weren't aligned. Then I noticed that the right rear tyre had been replaced, and noticed some running paint on some of the panels. It turns out that this car had been in quite a bad accident with extensive panel beating done on the entire front and entire back of the vehicle. Again ***!!! For anyone reading this, be sure to check you "VW Mastercar" VERY THOROUGHLY before you buy it!
